Social President, Dad-First

Social President, Dad-First

Thought it was interesting that President Obama started a personal Facebook page. See here. I of course zeroed in on a few things. First, I liked how he described himself as a Dad first in the About part.

Dad, husband, and 44th President of the United States. Comments and messages received through this account may be archived:

I also liked how CEO Mark Zuckerberg welcomed him to Facebook.

Welcome, President Obama! I’m excited that you’ve joined our community, and I look forward to seeing how you engage with people here on Facebook.

I also like that he has his wedding photo to Michelle Obama and a picture of himself as a young child being held by his mother.

A good start and a reminder that if the President of the United States can start a Facebook page, so can CEOs.
