Newest Member of Activist CEOs

As you have read me write about before on my blog, some CEOs are entering into the murky waters of activism. I believe that I quoted before Salesforce‘s CEO Marc Benioff’s statement that CEOs are a new third political party in the U.S. We saw Howard Schultz, founder and CEO of Starbucks, Race Together campaign a few months ago. Now, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, has joined this small but emerging club with his post on his Facebook page this week countering Donald Trump’s statement about banning Muslims from entering this country. I thought it was a milestone in Zuckerberg’s CEO-ship and wanted to record it here.

People often ask me if you can separate your personal reputation as a CEO from your corporate reputation. This is an example where they are one and the same.
